Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for leading TeamHealth’s Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine clinician recruitment team supporting the Northeast Region. Responsibilities include the design, development and implementation of strategies, and plans for recruitment services and provides consultation to leadership regarding strategic recruitment and workforce initiatives. Key focus on identification of recruitment and workforce trends and opportunities; improving the sourcing and recruiting skills of the team with defined performance metrics to ensure the attainment of strategic results-oriented goals; creating programs and processes to address challenges and support business strategies. Supervise assigned staff, serve as a role model and implement training for team regarding candidate sourcing, recruitment strategies and processes.

The ideal candidate will optimize the performance delivery of the recruitment team to identify, engage, hire and retain the strongest clinician talent in the industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, implement and lead adoption of best practice strategies, plans and processes for physician and advance practice clinician recruiting
  • Create a team culture of performance excellence and driving productivity optimization with a focus on metrics and increasing hiring results
  • Develop candidate sourcing and recruitment strategies, plans, and programs to improve overall success of the team and individual recruiter results
  • Implement training and development plans for recruiters focused on direct sourcing skills and techniques and creating a knowledge sharing environment across the team
  • Maintain an active sourcing system (pipeline) for ongoing recruiting
  • Develop advanced recruiter sales strategies including negotiation and closing strategies
  • Implement a comprehensive and consistent onboarding process and toolkit for recruiters
  • Develop and manage standards of performance (kpi’s) for monthly and annual recruitment results including workload, volume, quality, and efficiency metrics
  • Work with all departments to improve the credibility and reputation of the recruitment function
  • Provide ‘best in class’ systematic and consistent training, opportunities to ‘harvest wins’ and implement throughout TeamHealth; opportunities to build community, set standards of performance and share knowledge with recruiters
  • Provides senior management with metric driven data to fully understand performance of recruiting programs within TeamHealth Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine
  • Engage and communicate information and updates regarding applicable laws in healthcare, employment, and recruitment, and advise management and the recruiting team as needed
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Master’s Degree in Business Management, HR Management or related field preferred
  • Physician and advance practice clinician recruiting knowledge and actual physician recruiting experience preferred
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing strategic sourcing and recruitment plans, processes, and programs with high performance results achieved
  • Strong breadth and depth of knowledge of professional recruiting at a national level or large regional level
  • Eight plus years of professional leadership experience
  • Excellent leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to lead and participate in cross functional teams
  • Ability to interact, communicate and influence senior management, physicians, and colleagues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate win-win situations
  • Understanding and ability to assess and access “best in class” recruiting resources via software applications, web-based training, and sourcing systems
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills – oral, written, presentation, and public speaking

  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
