JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for covering areas where assistance is needed for IDX Coordinator and Payment Processing areas. Position is primarily responsible for processing insurance credit card payments and website access. Position is also responsible for covering various IDX Coordinator functions.  Maintains accuracy and production to ensure accounts and websites are being processed effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes insurance credit card payments.
  • Completion of carrier website access for various functions.
  • Maintains new and current user website login passwords.
  • Maintains user and administration website spreadsheets on daily basis.
  • Participates in unit progress meetings with staff regarding Payment Processing.
  • Notifies Patient Accounts Manager of any unusual circumstances regarding Payment Processing.
  • Notifies IDX File Maintenance Coordinator of any unusual circumstances regarding websites.
  • Reports any errors or problems that affect websites and insurance credit card payments.
  • Performs any and all duties as directed by Asst. Vice President.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of one to two years of computer experience in an office environment.
  • Position requires good command of English. Intermediate to advance level of expertise in Lotus/Excel and WordPerfect/Microsoft Word software programs, preferably using Windows.
  • Familiar with designing and maintaining worksheets. Clerical experience in filing and telephone skills.  Excellent organizational skills which would have been required and demonstrated in former positions.
  • Must use good judgment and reasoning skills.
  • Must be flexible and independent.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

This job should be performed in a well-lighted, well-vented and temperature-controlled modern office setting.  Requires being able to deal with management team, as well as, other interdepartmental companies.  Always present yourself in a professional manner.  Requires constant sitting tolerance. Must be flexible, independent and able to meet deadlines.  Jobs performed need little or no supervision. Assist in any special project requested by management.
