Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

This position provides key financial analysis support at the managerial level for the Human Resources department at TeamHealth including providing complex analysis and recommendations within the areas of HR Budgeting, HR Cycles, Benefits, providing oversight to processes traditionally performed by financial analysis function, and providing M&A support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Human Resources Financial Analysis Management

  • Provides complex financial analysis support and oversight to ensure the numerous budgets for the reporting areas of the CHRO have proper oversight and review, are accurate, identifies trends, corrects errors, solves problems and participates in strategic planning, etc.
  • Works closely with HR leaders for workforce planning, budgeting, complex analysis, etc.
  • Provides support and oversight for the financial aspects of the HR cycle work including but not limited to bonus review, annual increases and budgeting process.
  • Works closely with Benefits team to provide financial analysis support.
  • Works closely with HR related to workforce planning, budgeting and financial reporting ensuring appropriate accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Generates side-by-side compensation and benefits crosswalks for each target by analyzing both compensation and benefits information.
  • Ensures that operations and human resources understand the crosswalks and are able to communicate them to impacted individuals.
  • Understand financial impact of incremental benefits costs for each acquisition and the impact to TeamHealth
  • Attends weekly M&A/Finance staff meetings and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

The physical and environmental demands for this position are as follows:

  • Work in a modern, well-lighted office setting
  • Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less)
  • Moderate to high stress levels
  • Fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Extremely limited travel
  • Prolonged sitting, and
  • Prolonged work in a PC/computer.

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or other relevant field of study or equivalent professional experience

Experience:

  • Five plus years of relevant accounting/finance experience with understanding of financial modeling

Technology:

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Experience with an ERP or HCM (Lawson) and financial planning tools (Workforce Planning)
