Job Description

The Physician Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining monthly schedules for contracted physicians and APC’s and ensuring schedule quality for assigned facilities. He/She works closely with Medical Directors and scheduling team members to ensure all scheduling needs and requests of the Physician/APC and team are met. The Physician Coordinator will work closely with the Recruitment and Documentation teams on a consistent basis to help regulate staffing levels and communicate needs or changes.

 

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least one year experience in a professional setting

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree.
  2. Two years of administrative experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  2. Experience with Tangier or other scheduling software.
  3. Organizational, attention to detail and prioritizing skills are essential.
  4. Extensive verbal/written communication skills.
  5. Ability to demonstrate emotional maturity and work under pressure and with timelines while consistently exhibiting patience.
