OVERVIEW:

The Strategic Communications Specialist is responsible for conducting research of topics, generating story ideas across departments, overseeing strategic projects and writing/editing of content for Access Nurse marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for Strategic Communication and Client Development functions to promote and increase revenue growth in existing client base and to prospective clients. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Works closely with Business Development team on marketing and lead development strategy to identify means and methods to achieve related sales and revenue goals
  • Primary responsibility for writing blogs, articles, white papers, newsletters, and case studies to support optimal communications strategy and SEO on website
  • Provides creative insight to assist with marketing campaigns and increase market awareness
  • Assists with telemarketing initiatives to identify prospects
  • Manages sales process for small call volume client leads
  • Conducts consistent research in the medical call center industry regarding potential business development opportunities, competitor’s status, trade shows, etc. to ensure awareness necessary to support business development goals
  • Provide assistance with proposals and RFP responses
  • Partners with the Client Services team to act as a marketing liaison to existing clients to promote client development.
  • Responsible for acquiring insight to client’s unique objectives with medical call center services, developing a strategic plan to expand services or increase call volume, advising clients about marketing projects to increase member/patient/student awareness and selling additional service lines
  • Provides creative insight to assist with communication projects to increase client awareness and promotional item coordination. Contributes to the development of client newsletter and welcome packets
  • Serve on the implementation team for select new clients
  • Assists with special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned
  • Works in a team-oriented environment to achieve organizational goals

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in Communications, Marketing or Business related field
  • Three years healthcare business development experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software, Excel, Adobe, InDesign and other marketing software programs
  • Experience responding to RFPs
  • Experience with My Emma and other email deployment programs
  • Extensive experience with writing marketing copy and website content
  • Ability to think creatively and work under stressful, challenging conditions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
