Job Description


This position provides accounting support and clerical accounting assistance to the Corporate Accounting Department of TeamHealth. The responsibilities include reconciling TeamHealth and related affiliate bank accounts, certain balance sheet reconciliations and preparing and maintaining worksheets/schedules for use in the monthly close process, creating and distributing monthly reporting and other duties as directed by management.


  • Oversee and facilitate the monthly preparations of bank reconciliations for TeamHealth and affiliate bank accounts.
  • Coordinate with the Treasury department to determine outstanding checks that require escheatment to the various states.
  • Assist the Corporate Accounting Manager in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for each month end close, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Create and distribute month end reports to other company groups.
  • Research as directed based on questions/comments from monthly report distribution.
  • Additional tasks for projects as needed.


Job Requirements


  • Accounting degree or related work experience preferred;
  • Minimum four years’ experience in an accounting department;
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent computer skills (strong proficiency in Excel);
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Excellent judgment and decision making;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Excellent 10-key skills;

Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
