POSITION SUMMARY:

The Customer Account Representative is responsible for communicating with and collecting payment from healthcare patients. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Haitian/Creole Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our diverse customer base, providing support, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience with every interaction.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using an automated dialer, contact patients to obtain payment for past-due balances.
  • Using Customer Service Focused Sales Technique, Negotiate payments and payment plans.
  • Assist patients with questions.
  • Work with patients to explain charges.
  • Intake new insurance information for billing

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Through paid, in-house training programs, master knowledge of:

  • FDCPA
  • Collection and communication techniques
  • Medical billing knowledge

Job Requirements:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Haitian Creole is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Ideal candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Medical Collections
  • Call Center Environment
  • High volume, consumer focused sales
  • Customer Service-related fields

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Hours and Location: Once account representatives are fully trained, they will transition to a work from home environment where supervision and assistance is remote and continuous.

Current Hours of Operation: The current hours of operation are from 8AM to 5PM. Some weekend or evening hours may be required as needed in the future.
