An account representative maintains relationships with and sells products and services to clients.

A typical day in the life of an account representative might include:
• Prospecting for new clients by contacting clients on lists, attending local business events, and networking in specific industries
• Selling products and services, meeting designated quotas, and preparing sales paperwork
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients by initiating regular contact, providing customer service, and selling upgraded or additional products and services.
