Director Business Development / Behavioral Health

OVERVIEW:
The Regional Business Development Director – responsible for driving new business growth across assigned markets by selling post-acute behavioral health services to Skilled Nursing Facilities and related PAC providers. This role leads the full sales lifecycle—from market analysis and prospecting through contract execution—by building trusted executive-level relationships and positioning integrated clinical solutions that support regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and financial performance.

Candidates being considered must live in the state of Texas for 25% + travel within the state for business development opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales and marketing presentations to key stakeholders
  • Proactively secure and lead face-to-face and virtual meetings with prospective clients
  • Lead and coordinate regional inside sales efforts to support pipeline development and deal execution
  • Build stakeholder value through consultative selling and successful closure of new business initiatives
  • Lead and manage the proposal and RFP development process, including coordination with clinical, operational, and finance teams
  • Drive strategic planning and growth initiatives within the assigned region
  • Assess client needs and position TeamHealth’s post-acute and behavioral health solutions to address operational, clinical, and financial challenges
  • Participate in corporate development, strategic planning, and executive operations meetings as needed
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and regional networking events
  • Partner with key operational leaders to develop and maintain a well-defined, data-driven target list
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Job Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • Five or more years’ healthcare business development experience interacting with C-suite executives, thorough understanding of the Post-Acute market
  • Strong proficiency working with spreadsheets and pro-forma development
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving/decision-making and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict
  • Ability to travel 25%-30% within the assigned market as needed
