Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition (VPTA), the Manager of Recruitment for Post Acute / Behavioral Health (PAC/BH) leads the day-to-day operations of the physician, advance practice clinician, and professional therapy recruiting team. This role ensures consistent execution of established recruitment strategies, drives team productivity, and supports high-quality hiring outcomes. The Manager, along with the VPTA, partners closely with operational and clinical leaders to understand regional and national needs, troubleshoot recruitment challenges, and deliver timely staffing solutions for existing business, new business, and business sales leads. This position directly supervises Senior Clinical Recruiters (SCRs) and other associated recruitment professionals, focusing on coaching, workflow management, data quality, and performance excellence. The Manager is responsible for assessing recruitment strategy effectiveness, monitoring teamwide performance, and ensuring initiatives are executed consistently and successfully across the organization. In addition, the Manager is responsible for successfully overseeing and recruiting a small book of business, as this role will be a player-coach position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage daily activities of SCRs, ensuring timely, high-quality execution of recruitment processes; provide coaching, onboarding, and ongoing development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with VPTA to guide strategic planning for critical openings, new business growth, and attrition. Escalate persistent challenges and risk areas to VPTA for strategic support.
  • Foster a team culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and engagement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and assist with training, process updates, and team communication. Represent the PAC/BH recruitment function at meetings, events, and workgroups.
  • Conduct weekly/biweekly rounding with direct reports to review performance goals, challenges, and support needs.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and develop recruiting team members.
  • Oversee the design and optimization of sourcing strategies, recruitment programs, and technologies.
  • Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with Clinical Practice Managers (CPMs), Vice Presidents of Operations (VPOs), and clinical leadership to understand hiring needs and address recruiting barriers.
  • Ensure adherence to established recruitment processes, documentation standards, and ATS/CRM data accuracy.
  • Review and prioritize open requisitions; oversee pipeline development, aging metrics, and fill rates.
  • Audit job postings for content, accuracy and appropriate placement.
  • Coordinate HOT Jobs and critical openings, and seek creative methods for reaching new candidates.
  • Work in collaboration with Recruitment Marketing and Recruitment Operations to manage job board posting strategy, Residency/APC Relations strategy, tradeshow strategy, and general marketing initiatives.
  • Review and approve recruiter commissions and referral program processes.
  • Responsible for successfully managing and recruiting a small book of business, as this role will be a player-coach position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Business, Human Resources, Health Administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of physician/APC recruiting experience, with 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Proven ability to coach and develop recruiting professionals and manage workloads effectively
  • Strong business acumen combined with the ability to solve problems, optimize processes, and manage competing priorities
  • Experience with and negotiation of advanced clinician compensation packages
  • Must be able to think strategically and offer solutions
  • Ability to participate in an integrated team and work as a valued member
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Follow the expectations established for communication, production, efficiency, conflict resolution, decision-making, problem-solving and interpersonal relations
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence decisions and outcomes
  • Ability to meet deadlines and capable of working in a high stress environment
