Job Description

This position is responsible for leading a team selling TeamHealth/IPC’s services to prospective clients by identifying national target prospect organizations and target markets, qualifying the prospects/markets, coordinating the entire sales process and successfully driving encounter growth.


  • Develops and delivers sales/marketing presentations for the organization
  • Leads and cultivates a team that represents the organization in a consistent and standardized approach
  • Manages national multi-facility operator relationships Develops and implements a strategic approach to growing value based payer relationship.
  • Builds stake holder value through successful achievement of encounter growth.
  • Leads and directs the proposal development process for new Facility relationships
  • Uncovers client and market needs and presents TeamHealth’s solutions
  • Attends meetings related to corporate development, strategic planning and executive operations
  • Attends trade shows to market and represent the company
  • Works with Business Development team personnel and key operations personnel to construct a well-defined client target list
  • Other duties as assigned by management

    • The candidate must have a deep understanding of the current state of the post-acute industry, and an appreciation for the changes underway so as to be able to position TeamHealth for success.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • Five or more years health care sales experience interacting with decision makers, thorough understanding of the Post-Acute market
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions desired but not required
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving/decision-making and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency working with spreadsheets and pro-forma development
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict
  • Ability to travel frequently and as needed
