The primary responsibility of this Vice President role is Business Partner for Hospital Services Leadership, and all of their associated key leaders.

  • Ensure information technology and services operate in adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Integrate information security architecture into enterprise architecture.
  • Oversee the management of the information technology teams -- ensuring that projects are consistent with the business goals of Team Health and support Team Health’s operations and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures governing information technology standards, documentation standards, and deployment standards and testing standards.
  • Participate as a member of the senior management team in governance processes of the information technology’s organizational and technical architecture, telecommunications, networks, data management, systems, and desktops.
  • Lead strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by identifying, prioritizing, researching, piloting, and when appropriate, instituting product and technology advancements into the enterprise architecture.
  • Analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market.
  • Creatively and independently, provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.
  • Develop, track, and control the technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
  • Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all technical staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of services provided to end users and monitoring of systems, applications, and equipment.
  • Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies.
  • Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Recommend, approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
  • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.

Job Requirements


  1.  Bachelors and master’s degree desirable;
  2. Minimum of ten years’ leadership experience;
  3. Strong relationship skills;
  4. Outstanding communication and negotiation capabilities;
  5. Demonstrated analytical ability to solve complex technical problems;
  6. Great values and manners;
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal direction or supervision;
  8. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written);
  9. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  10. Possess a high aptitude for learning with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies;
  11. Responsibilities require occasional evening and weekend work, sometimes with little advanced notice.


  • Build, manage, and inspire an IT HS team


  • Duties are performed in a modern office setting.
  • Occasional work in the evenings and on weekends.
  • Prolonged sitting, with prolonged work on a PC.
  • Carries a cell phone and is available as needed.  
  • This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
