OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for extracting medical records for different departments within the company by IDX requests, ETM System, Claims or Insurance request by correspondence.  Employee must have good organizational skills and be flexible.  In addition, time management is very important.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Completes medical records requests from the ETM system as needed for insurance companies and various departments’ onsite and offsite.
  • CMS Record requests.
  • Paper insurance requests.
  • Access hospital websites to print records for requests.
  • Maintain a password listing for each facility.
  • Print records from Onbase Scanning.
  • Complete all requests by returning to the requestor, attaching necessary forms, or submitting with claim.
  • Maintain a daily log.
  • All other responsibilities as requested by management.

 

Job Requirements



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months experience working with insurance in an office or hospital environment is helpful.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Computer experience a must.
  • Able to stay focused and follow through with the complete assignment to the end.

 



PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • This job is performed in a well-lighted, moderate office setting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
