Job Description

The Scheduling Coordinator is the central point of contact for Premium Labor providers, to include HIT, Special Ops and TACT. This position works directly with the Premium Labor Manager, Scheduling Director and Facility Schedulers, coordinating all tasks associated with scheduling premium labor providers. This position partners with the Schedulers and other departments (Recruitment, Risk, Payroll, Credentialing and Contracting) to resolve any errors or issues.



  • Central point of contact for Premium Labor Providers (HIT, SOPs, TACT)
  • Collect and disseminate off request and availability 60-90 days in advance of schedule release
  • Facilitate scheduling of orientation activities for new or current Premium Labor Providers
  • Advocate fair and equitable schedules for the Premium Labor Providers
  • Coordinate issue resolution for provider monthly schedules
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with leadership, other departments, and Premium labor Providers
  • Coordinate activities to prevent provider lock-outs in the system such as DEA, Privilege Records and
  • Point of contact for troubleshooting Tangier
  • Maintain Premium Labor workbook data
  • Provide administrative assistance to Scheduling Director and Premium Labor Manager

Job Requirements

◇     Two (2) or more years of college or equivalent education preferred
◇     One (1) to three (3) years of related experience, preferably in a medical setting working closely with clinicians
◇     Excellent problem-solving ability
◇     Ability to think creatively within a short time-frame;
◇     Ability to work a flexible schedule;
◇     Ability to adapt to change
◇     Ability to handle confidential data
◇     Advanced proficiency in various computer applications, i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, database management and  presentation software;
◇     Excellent interpersonal skills
