Job Description


The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for entering scheduling data, such as provider/Locum scheduling preferences, requests, schedule template changes and edits, to include start up template set up. This position is responsible for primary data collection and maintenance of scheduling system and running and dispersing monthly maintenance error reports. This position is primarily responsible for disseminating information to the Locum agency from the Scheduler as it relates to the confirmation of shifts. This position partners with the Schedulers and other departments such as (Recruitment, Risk, Payroll, Credentialing and Contracting) to resolve any errors or issues.



  • Works closely with Scheduler to establish new providers within the system
  • Collects data related to shift times and sets up new facility schedules
  • Coordinates Tangier implementations for new users and facilities
  • Handles maintenance issues for monthly schedules
  • Checks for errors and generates corresponding reports
  • Coordinates activities to prevent provider lock-outs in the system such as DEA, Privilege Records and Compliance
  • Assists primary schedulers with other duties
  • Facilitates the scheduling of orientation activities as needed


Job Requirements


  • HS Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an administrative role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications inclusive of Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to meet deadlines and capable of working in stressful situations
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
