Job Description


This position’s primary responsibility is to provide support related to the activities surrounding locum coordination & scheduling support as well as special projects.




  • Coordinates External Locums Searches & presentations within guidelines.
  • Tracks External Locums needs vs. fulfillment
  • Tracks locums providers geographical rates & increases
  • Checks & confirms locum providers upcoming location, shift dates & times
  • Coordinates locum provider’s time sheet approval which includes interacting with FMDs on any overtime approvals.
  • Assists with the coordination, tracking & approval of Locums Invoices.
  • Ensures issues are reported on, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the reporting of overall locum usage & breakdown of internal vs. external usage.
  • Provides support for special report requests regarding provider worked hours and related scheduling metrics.
  • Interfaces with Information Technology & other corporate departments on behalf of the team.
  • Handles scheduling phone calls as needed.
  • Performs special project & other duties as requested or as assigned by management.
  • Provides administrative support to the Department as necessary.
  • Attends meetings as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High School diploma (Two years of college, preferred) & related professional experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to attend to detail and demonstrate proper sense of urgency;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/deadlines and prioritize appropriately;
  • Ability to work well in a rapidly paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, database management and presentation software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and discussions;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Familiarity with modern office equipment, i.e. facsimile, copier, scanner, etc
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel; moderate proficiency in Word;


  • Job performed in a well-lit, modern office setting;
  • Occasional lifting / carrying (10 pounds or less);
  • Occasional standing / bending / stooping / reaching / pulling;
  • Moderate stress;
  • Prolonged sitting;
  • Prolonged work on a PC / Computer; and

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions.
