QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technology with at least two (2) years pediatric clinical experience in radiology
- Florida State license in Radiologic Technology
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to read and interpret radiographic exam requisitions, technical procedures and medical terminology
- Patient assessment skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to identify patient problems and document appropriately, seeking guidance as needed
- High degree of verbal communication and interpersonal skills to determine needs, provide information, instruct, and provide emotional support
- Working knowledge of general office equipment including fax and copy machines, multi-line phone system, and personal computer
- Ability to address and resolve conflict in a professional manner
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to be flexible
- Ability to perform detail-oriented work.
- Ability to work independently yet in conjunction with a team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting.
- Almost continuous noise inherent to the scanning equipment.
- Moderate physical effort, including assistance to the disabled patient in transfers to and from wheelchairs, exam tables, bathroom etc.
- May be required to assist in lifting patients more than one-hundred (100) pounds
- Associated health risks related to patient exposure including body fluids and needles
- Possible exposure to radiation related to x-ray procedures
- Exposure to moderate noise levels
- Occasional cold temperatures in working area related to equipment maintenance
- Occasional standing/bending
- Prolonged standing periods
This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week
