JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position’s primary responsibility is to provide operational support for the National Provider Enrollment Support Team. In addition, the position will provide operational support during mission-critical efforts, such as mergers and acquisitions, contract/billing start-ups, regulatory changes requiring immediate action, and will lend support to service centers in absence of staff (e.g. – FMLA, turnover, etc.). The position will work to ensure compliance with TeamHealth provider enrollment policies and procedures, along with client, payer, state and federal regulatory requirements. Additionally, this position will globally support technology enhancements and implementation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide functional support to the Provider Enrollment Support Team within the National Provider Enrollment Department
  • Complete clinician application processes to enroll/dis-enroll providers with payers, modify provider data with payers and submit billing numbers to the appropriate billing operations center
  • Perform follow-up with insurance payers via phone, email or website to obtain billing numbers and resolve provider enrollment issues
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Provider Enrollment software systems and participate in testing, integration, configuration and implementation as necessary.
  • Provide support to the regional service centers on high priority operational objectives and assist with issues management and resolution
  • Follow TeamHealth policies, procedures, and protocols in order to ensure accuracy, completeness, and efficiency of provider enrollment processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned (this may include tasks in regional service centers)

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Two (2) years of college required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a provider enrollment or credentials position
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external resources and be able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions
  • Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and effectively communicate decisions Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Data entry accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheet, database management)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Job performed in a well-lit, modern office setting;
  • Moderate travel (overnight and out of town);
  • Occasional lifting (25 pounds or less);
  • Occasional standing;
  • Moderate to high stress;
  • Prolonged hours of work (evening and weekend);
  • Prolonged telephone use; and
  • Prolonged sitting.

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
