Job Description


Under supervision of the Provider Enrollment Director, the Provider Enrollment Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of the Provider Enrollment Team in support of department and organizational goals.


  • Responsible for supervising, training, directing, prioritizing, monitoring, auditing, and measuring activity Provider Enrollment team members.
  • Ensuring individual and team member adherence to all TeamHealth policies and procedures.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for provider enrollment staff and billing representatives to share information, record and prioritize issues, and ensure issues are escalated, resolved, and evaluated for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with providers, payers and colleagues
  • Support continuous improvement and automation of provider enrollment processes by collaborating with various stakeholders to develop new or enhance existing techniques, policies and procedures.
  • Direct and supervise special projects.
  • Lead team huddles and participate in cross-functional meetings.
  • Serve as member and/or advisor to Provider Enrollment Leadership Team.
  • Serve as back up to any/all functional areas within Provider Enrollment.



Job Requirements


  • Degree in business or management related field, preferred.
  • Three-five years working knowledge of management and provider enrollment process, preferably with multiple states.
  • High degree of judgement and independent decision-making, analytical evaluation, critical thinking, managerial and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism.
  • Ability to multi task and priorities workload in a fast paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement related to when to act independently and when to escalate.
  • Complete monthly rounding.
  • Ability to work with a database
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.


  • Manages Provider Enrollment Coordinators, Representatives and Specialists


  • General office environment.
  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting;
  • Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less);
  • Prolonged sitting; with prolonged work in a computer/PC;
  • Occasional work in evenings and on weekends;
  • Moderate stress;
  • May require moderate overnight travel;
  • Overtime may be required and can be mandated by Management.
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced environment.

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
