Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This Provider Compensation Manager is responsible for managing the provider compensation specialists.  This position is responsible for general oversight of the payrolls being compiled by the provider compensation specialists and is also the primary contact for interactions with corporate payroll and accounting and various stakeholders in their region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage direct reports
  • Onboard and train new employees
  • Review and/or approve all aspects of provider compensation including: Contract interpretation o Data entry o Expiring rates and fees o Worked hours o Manual check requests o Post payroll error corrections            Ensure appropriate approval has been obtained as needed
  • Generate and interpret financial reports and spreadsheets for internal and external requests
  • Report and escalate all noncompliance issues according to corporately mandated guidelines
  • Compile performance measures including the number of providers processed and errors by department
  • Load worked hours/checks systems for errors
  • Review PPECs and Expense Reports
  • Calculate the Accrual
  • Review the Payroll
  • Close the books (except Independent Contractors)
  • Point of contact for corporate payroll and accounting
  • Oversee completion of the audit control book

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree or 2+ years equivalent work experience in accounting, bookkeeping and/or payroll
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in supervisory role
  • Experience with payroll software preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheet, and database management);
  • Good decision-making and judgment skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to attend to detail
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with FLSA, payroll best practice and Sox controls
  • CPP or FPC desirable

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and after-hours as needed;

  •  10% bonus Structure

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
