JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is located in Knoxville, TN.

The Manager of Master Data Management (MDM) will be responsible for managing the implementation of Master Data Management across the organization and will play an important role in the continued growth and success of TeamHealth.  The Company is transforming into a data driven and data enabled organization, and the Manager of MDM will play a key role in our Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) organization ensuring that the master data management capabilities will provide the business with shared, consistent, and accurate master data giving TeamHealth a shared view of its most critical data assets. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead development projects and technical team delivering solutions related to MDM
  • Create and deliver roadmaps that helps to set and deliver technical strategy for management of master data
  • Build strong partnerships and manage varying levels of business stakeholders setting expectations and gaining alignment on delivery of solutions.
  • Work cross functionally with Data Governance team to ensure principles, best practices, guidelines, and standards for master data are applied
  • Provide coaching, development, and leadership to junior team members 
  • Expand, analyze and maintain metrics for measuring adherence and improvement; understand data quality issues and create action plans to resolve them
  • Continuously learn and stay abreast of industry trends keeping key stakeholders educated and informed 

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise data management activities including data integration, data standardization, and data quality.
  • Solid experience implementing Master Data Management solutions and platforms (i.e. Informatica, Profisee, Reltio)
  • Demonstrated team and resource management experience 
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to work and influence more senior levels of the organization across functional groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-Motivated Achiever interested in learning new things
  • Must be detail oriented and take pride in your work 
  • Healthcare Industry Experience a plus

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting;
  • Occasional lifting/carrying (25 pounds or less);
  • Prolonged sitting;
  • Prolonged work on a computer/PC.

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
