JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist assists with the technical and functional administration of the day-to-day operation, maintenance, usage, and analysis of learning management systems and our communication and collaboration platform called Zenith. The holder of the position is expected to analyze, identify, and communicate system and business requirements to departments. The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist will focus on publishing content and tracking behavior to drive engagement and reach business goals.  This position, will work with users to assist them in utilizing the features and functionality of the platform to effectively distribute content. Duties include system and learning activities setup, end user support, content uploading, running reports, and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the day-to-day operations of TeamHealth Institute Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.
  • Assist in the administration of our Learning Management System
  • Provide technical support for existing educational materials, courses, and systems.
  • Administer LMS functions: creates and updates training requirements in the LMS, sets up instructor-led training (ILT) and online courses, assigns learning paths.
  • Assist with creating and enforcing LMS system standards, policies and procedures.
  • Provide LMS technical assistance in resolving technical difficulties related to accessing the LMS and course content.
  • Assist with content management and administration of our internal portal Zenith.
  • Coordinates technical development efforts in support of content distribution.
  • Provides support to users to assist them in utilizing the features and functionality of the platform to effectively distribute content.
  • Completes administrative tasks (updating project plans, status reports, maintenance of learning solutions, pulling reports, etc.).
  • Effectively manages multiple projects to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
  • Validate project deliverables with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Manages multiple projects with varying timelines and deliverables.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with emphasis in technology, instructional design, or multimedia design.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in technology in corporate environments
  • Proficient with Learning Management Systems
  • Proficient with Content Management
  • Proficient in presenting a business-centric approach that recognizes opportunities for technical solutions to solve business problems
  • Working knowledge of HMTL, CSS, Javascript
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Deep analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of development phases including designing and testing
  • Ability to stay abreast of new trends and tools in content and learning development.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Project management skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Partnering skills with ability to influence, negotiate, and facilitate
  • Self-directed with ability to manage own time and tasks

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
