JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition (VPTA), the Director of Recruitment for Post Acute / Primary Care (PAC/PC) partners with the VP to lead the strategic direction, design and execution of enterprise-level physician and advance practice clinician recruitment. The Director partners closely with operational and clinical leadership – at both regional and national levels – to anticipate workforce needs, evaluate critical openings, and support new business development initiatives. This role is responsible for assessing recruitment strategy effectiveness, monitoring teamwide performance, and ensuring initiatives are executed consistently and successfully across the organization.
The Director oversees Senior Clinical Recruiters (SCRs) and other associated recruitment professionals, cultivating a high-performance, highly engaged culture. With national oversight, business acumen, and a consultative presence, the Director influences decisions, drives innovation, and ensures the recruitment function delivers scalable, measurable results aligned with both PAC/PC business and TeamHealth organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and direct the PAC/PC team’s national recruitment strategy, best practices, and programs for physician and advanced practice clinician recruitment.
- Identify market trends, workforce risks, and opportunities for strategic differentiation.
- Lead recruitment transformation initiatives, ensuring standardization, scalability, and consistent service delivery across teams.
- Provide national pipeline insights, forecasting, and market intelligence to senior leadership for the purpose of creating recruitment and retention strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Regional Medical Directors (RMDs), Vice Presidents of Operations (VPOs), Clinical Practice Managers (CPMs), and the VP of Talent Acquisition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (contracting, onboarding, credentialing, marketing, HR, and operations) to align recruiting efforts with enterprise priorities.
- Lead SCRs and other recruitment professionals; support succession planning and capability-building; coach and develop staff, and serve as a resource for guidance/direction.
- Ability to drive big picture and strategy.
- Set performance expectations, manage performance reviews, coach emerging leaders, and develop team members.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and engagement.
- Oversee the design and optimization of sourcing strategies, recruitment programs, and technologies.
- Ensure the integrity of ATS/CRM data, national reporting, and teamwide performance metrics.
- Round weekly/biweekly with direct reports; review open reqs on a weekly basis, monitor average days open, and assist with strategic efforts to build robust candidate pipelines.
- Audit current job postings for content, accuracy and appropriate placement.
- Coordinate HOT Jobs and critical openings, and seek creative methods for reaching new candidates.
- Work in collaboration with Recruitment Marketing and Recruitment Operations to manage job board posting strategy, Residency/APC Relations strategy, tradeshow strategy, and general marketing initiatives.
- Guide strategic planning for critical openings, new business growth, and attrition.
- Coordinate recruitment meetings, leadership development sessions, and collaboration forums with related departments.
- Represent the PAC/PC recruitment function at meetings, events, and strategic workgroups.
- Review and approve recruiter commissions and referral program processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
