The Clinical Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the Training & Education Manager and the Director of Quality & Education in the delivery and oversight of employee orientation and training programs. This role focuses on ensuring the effective preparation and seamless transition of Telephone Triage Nurses into their clinical roles, maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.

This role focuses on ensuring the effective preparation and seamless transition of Telephone Triage Nurses into their clinical roles, maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver orientation and ongoing clinical education sessions, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Help evaluate training effectiveness through competency assessments, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms
- Maintain accurate documentation of training activities and compliance records
- Partner with preceptors and Clinical Operations to support smooth transition of new nurses into active roles
- Provide performance feedback and coaching based on quality and productivity metrics
- Track attendance and maintain training records
- Update training materials as assigned
- Conduct quality monitoring for new employees
- Perform telephone triage nursing regularly to maintain skills
- Serve on the Quality Improvement Committee and attend assigned meetings
- Maintain strong working relationships across departments
- Maintain flexibility to support a 24/7 contact center
Qualifications/Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience, preferably with management background
- 2 to 3 years telephonic nursing experience preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines for telephone triage
- Demonstrated experience in training, education, or staff development within a healthcare setting
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office and telephony systems; informatics knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in virtual training platforms and learning management systems (LMS)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage, teach, motivate and direct others
