VP Business Development/Medical Call Center

OVERVIEW
The Vice President Business Development is responsible for providing strategic business development leadership, direct sales services, and market research for TeamHealth's Medical Call Center and reports to the Vice President National Sales.

Essential Functions
  • Provides definitive strategic leadership support for market and new contract development
  • Develops and delivers sales/marketing presentations for the organization
  • Participates in the development of short and long-range business planning in the areas of sales and market development
  • Oversees market research and works to create and maintain a competitive business advantage within the healthcare industry
  • Oversees and manages the Business Development staff
  • Develops proposals and contacts target prospects through various methods including research, telephone conversations, face-to-face meetings, out of town travel, and written correspondence
  • Forecasts to meet budgetary goals and expectations
  • Oversees budget preparation for Business Development
  • Maintains detailed reporting on performance for Business Development
  • Works closely with TeamHealth Finance to create financial models and fee schedules for new contract development
  • Ensures new contracts meet established EBITDA standards
  • Provides financial forecasts for Accounting/Finance for budgetary purposes
  • Works closely with general counsel to ensure legal/operational viability of new contract development (e.g. hospital contracts, physician contracts, etc.)
  • Works closely with THMCC leadership in around contract development and implementation of services to ensure adequate contract support/adherence and excellent client services
  • Works with Mergers & Acquisitions and prospective business partnerships as needed
  • Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned
  • Maintains positive relationships with TeamHealth leadership

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Medical Call Center experience with at least five (5) years of proven previous strategic Business Development/Marketing experience
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict
  • Ability to travel frequently and as needed
