VP, EIT Business System Solutions

OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Enterprise IT Business System Solutions (BSS) serves as a trusted leader and partner, ensuring alignment between EIT and business stakeholders. This role is accountable for strategy, prioritization, solution delivery, and value realization. The position also oversees staffing, vendor management, and budget execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within cost, and aligned to enterprise goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Partnership and Alignment
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with senior business leaders, team members, and stakeholders to ensure EIT fully understands business needs and delivers effective solutions
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical resources, bridging perspectives to create shared understanding of process and solution requirements
  • Collaborate with business partner leadership to develop, validate, and maintain strategic roadmaps and prioritize portfolios for maximum value realization aligned with company objectives
  • Establish and manage business leaders’ expectations regarding EIT solution and service delivery.Communicate strategy, goals, and progress clearly and consistently to drive alignment across stakeholders
  • Work directly with business partners and IT teams to navigate roadblocks and mediate competing priorities
Value Creation and Delivery
  • Identify opportunities and provide proactive recommendations to leverage technology to improve business results
  • Ensure initiatives are prioritized, resourced, and executed to deliver measurable value, intervening as needed to keep projects on track
  • Recommend, approve, and oversee projects and the enterprise IT portfolio to maximize business impact
  • Collaborate with other EIT leaders to select and implement cost-effective solutions consistent with enterprise principles
  • Monitor and assess risks associated with technology investments, purchases, and deployments
Team Leadership and Development
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing, collaborative team culture within the BSS team and across EIT and business stakeholders
  • Oversee the recruitment, retention, and professional development of BSS team staff, aligned with corporate budget and personnel policies
  • Ensure BSS team members and projects are aligned with business goals, operations, and enterprise infrastructure needs
  • Encourage innovation and support creative, cost-effective resolution of technical challenges
Budget, Negotiation and Vendor Management
  • Develop, track, and manage annual operating and capital budgets for staffing, technology, and services
  • Oversee vendor, supplier, consultant relationships and contracts to ensure high-quality, cost effective delivery
  • Negotiate technology products and services with vendors and partners, pursuing master agreements to achieve economies of scale
  • Prepare business cases and cost/benefit analyses to justify technology investments and initiatives
Compliance, Standards, and Risk Management
  • Ensure EIT operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and corporate compliance requirements
  • Integrate information security architecture into enterprise IT solutions
  • Oversee the development and enforcement of IT policies and standards, including documentation, deployment, and testing practices
  • Regularly evaluate and improve technology standards to maintain competitive advantage
  • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services, monitoring systems, applications, and equipment for performance and reliability
  • Ensure timely completion of project documentation, process tracking, and compliance reporting


Job Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, healthcare or related field preferred
  • A minimum of ten years of leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship building skills required, including the ability to work diplomatically with a diverse workforce
  • Strong business engagement experience for product development, vision and prioritization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer orientation, highly collaborative, positive and energetic, detail oriented
  • Experience coordinating simultaneous assignments by assessing project deadlines, establishing work priorities, and coordinating personal work schedules
  • Prefer demonstrated experience implementing SaaS packages and other software solutions to support regulated business processes
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with project management strategies to plan and execute complex activities
  • Resourcefulness, ingenuity, and maturity in decision-making and problem solving
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills accompanied by flexibility to quickly adapt to a changing business environment
