Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position will work with all levels of management across the organization. Primary responsibilities include the collection and preparation of financial and operational information; monitoring and analyzing data; and providing actionable recommendations in conjunction with management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Compiles data from various sources; cleans and formats data into meaningful reports; updates reports as needed.
  • Analyzes various reports and performance measures looking for trends and outliers.
  • Reconciles data and conducts analysis using critical thinking and advanced problem solving skills.

 

  • Provide monthly reporting for operations and executive management, including monthly and quarterly executive reporting packages.
  • Organizes reports and related documents, maintaining proper version control
  • Develop new reports for monthly distribution resulting from changes in business needs.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in management sciences, business or related field
  • Four or more years of experience in corporate or operational reporting/analysis; proven skill accomplishments preparing and communicating trend analysis, operational metrics, etc., and making recommendations to leadership;
  • Understanding of ED and HM flow, processes, and finances preferred
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ability to create and work with pivot tables, write formulas, chart customization, etc.,)

 

  • Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Essbase/SmartView software preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technical skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail when following set instructions and reviewing reports for accuracy
  • Experience in coordinating simultaneous assignments from various levels across the organization by assessing project deadlines, establishing work priorities, and coordinating work schedule
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well with others, and work with minimal direction/supervision
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize work; handle stress and conflict
  • Resourcefulness, ingenuity, strong decision making and problem solving skills

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: 

  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting
  • Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less)
  • Prolonged sitting; with prolonged work in a computer/PC
  • Occasional work in evenings and on weekends
  • Minimal travel, less than 25%

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
