Job Description

The Provider Compensation Director is responsible for managing the provider compensation department and the provider compensation function. Customer/Client focused to ensure the department is appropriately responsive to clinician and field operators’ questions/concerns accurately and timely. Overseeing analysis of opportunities and addressing them immediately.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage, direct and support department in all matters pertaining to provider compensation to provider compensation
  • Oversee accounting inquiries
  • Oversee 1099 processing
  • Reconcile outstanding checks/ACH
  • Comply with audit requests
  • Maintains a highly functional department with focus on accuracy and customer experience
  • Ensure robust customer/client feedback loop exists to answer inquiries
  • Review the payroll
  • Review and/or approve all aspects of provider compensation including:
    • Contract interpretation
    • Data entry
    • Expiring rates and fees
    • Worked hours
    • Manual check requests
    • Post payroll error corrections
    • Ensure appropriate approval has been obtained as needed
  • Assist with closing books
  • Chair monthly department meetings and maintain/distribute monthly deadline calendar
  • Coordinate annual tax reporting on independent contractor providers

Job Requirements



QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree preferred and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience in accounting, bookkeeping and/or payroll
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in supervisory role
  • Experience with payroll software preferred
