Job Description


Oversees the daily operations of the Senior Recruiters, Recruiters and Associate Recruiters assigned to the Emergency Medicine division. Screens and interviews new candidates for open recruiter positions. Relies on high level experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals within the realm of staffing and recruitment on a national level.   Coaches and develops staff and serves as a resource for questions. This is a remote position in the Southeast region.


  • Plans, develops and directs strategic recruitment for physician and Advanced Practice Clinicians within the Emergency Medicine division. Works with management to review critical openings, new business development needs and monitors performance.
  • Ensures adequate coverage for each facility through effective utilization of full-time and part-time clinicians, ENVOY providers and locum tenens physicians.
  • Reviews open opportunities on a weekly basis, monitors average days open and assists with strategic efforts to identify new candidates. Works in collaboration with corporate marketing to manage website placements, journal ads, attendance at tradeshows and general marketing initiatives.   Coordinates hot jobs and critical openings and seeks creative methods for reaching new candidates with standards of accountability.
  • Manages all corporate reporting metrics including monthly new hires by source, percent fully staffed, preliminary file hand-off, actions and new leads generated per week. Initiates standards for TeamWorks data entry. Ensures recruitment plans are implemented by facility with key strategies for identifying new leads.
  • Communicates effectively with the Vice President of Provider Services in regards to crisis situations and collaborates as needed with the Client Services team.
  • Coordinates monthly recruiters meetings and provides educational opportunities for staff development and collaboration within the department functions of contracting and credentialing.
  • Monitors monthly schedules and ensures adequate coverage is secured 60 to 90 days in advance.
  • Provides oversight for master contracts with the locum tenens companies and ensures all protocols are followed for new candidate presentations with approved rates. Works closely with staffing coordinators to ensure strong support from our internal locums team.
  • Ensures all locum invoices and timesheets are reviewed and processed in a timely manner to meet the monthly payroll deadlines.
  • Coordinates ENVOY team member schedules and ensures privileges, travel, credentials are all in sync with facility specific needs.

  • BS in Business or Health Administration or Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Ability to negotiate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and capable of working in a high stress environment.
