Job Description


The Clinical Recruiter will be responsible for the front end of the recruiting process (finding, filtering, qualifying, and presenting candidates) to build a strong talent pipeline for our open practice opportunities. The Clinical Recruiter will utilize direct and indirect sourcing techniques, including complex internet searches, cold calling, social/professional networking, database mining and competitor research to build a strong network of passive and active candidates for TeamHealth practice opportunities.


  • Develop sourcing and marketing strategy upon notification of an open opportunity.
  • Sources and screens providers and presents qualified candidates to the FMD as appropriate.
  • Networks throughout geographic territory to establish recognition of TeamHealth and our opportunities in the market.
  • Cold calls providers to achieve recruiting goals and to identify potential candidates for contracting.
  • Maintains a pool of qualified candidates
  • Obtain initial provider data (Curriculum Vitae)
  • Provides communication and feedback to Senior Clinical Recruiters and/or Recruitment Directors of the candidates in which he/she has engaged.
  • Evaluates candidate credentials for position and organizational match and discusses those findings with the Senior Clinical Recruiter assigned to those sites.
  • Responds to incoming provider inquiries regarding practice opportunities
  • Utilizes third-party websites for lead generation.
  • Utilizes social media skills to generate leads.
  • Utilizes database to log, track, organize activities and adhere to data requirements.
  • Discusses the Risk Management process, as appropriate with new hires during the contracting phase. Obtains clarification from new providers on questionnaire in order to process the application, and if applicable, the Risk Management referral form.  Collaborates with designated support staff (COL) to ensure positive feedback is received as part of the reference review process. And identifies appropriate references for written reference checks. Ensures candidates comply with submitting all necessary credentials and documents prior to any clinical assignments.
  • Monitors competitors and industry to understand physician staffing trends.
  • Provides regular updates to the Senior Clinical Recruiter regarding new candidates, challenges and potential solutions for leader report outs.
  • Attends conferences, including residency relation events and recruitment meetings as requested.
  • Assists in the facilitation of the team process at TeamHealth by serving as an active member of the team. This includes attending all internal team related meetings; participating in developing and implementing center wide and team goals; participating in problem-solving and decision making; supporting corporate and center management decisions; being flexible and adaptable to change; establishing trust and respect for other team members; placing team needs first; and by completing all necessary training.
  • Follows the norms and guidelines established by the team for communication, production, efficiency, conflict resolution, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal relations.
  • Adhere to department goals and strive to achieve monthly and annual KPIs

Job Requirements


  • S./BA Degree or comparable recruiting experience;
  • Sales or customer service experience
  • Social Media experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Excellent negotiation/persuasion skills;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision/direction;
