Job Description


A high-visibility role with the opportunity to effectuate considerable change across TeamHealth, this position is responsible for working directly with the SVP of Strategic Initiatives, Group Presidents, Regional & Facility Medical Directors, Operations & Finance Leaders, and Project Managers to advance quality of care, improve operational efficiency, and elevate provider satisfaction through business case development, data-driven problem solving, and rigorous tracking of operational metrics & financial results.


  • As a founding member of an enterprise-wide Finance & Analytics center of excellence, serve as a business partner for one or more strategic initiatives
  • Solve complex problems and propose “elegantly simple” solutions by drawing inference from data, thinking critically, and developing & analyzing multiple scenarios
  • Partner with Business Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers, and Data Scientists to define business cases for and realize value from each large-scale change initiative:
    • Support the development of project charters and detailed project plans; validate all assumptions in savings estimates
    • Quantify baselines + potential improvements in Operational KPIs and EBITDA
    • Set targets, establish tracking cadence, and ensure savings estimates are incorporated into annual budgets
  • Lead efforts to configure data more effectively for visibility, transparency, and insight in analytics & reporting:
    • Contribute to dashboard / scorecard / reports design and user acceptance training
    • Integrate new dashboards and reports into business reviews and management cadence
  • Guide Data Scientists’ efforts to enhance decision making and improve processes through systematized scripts, statistical analysis, predictive models, and data visualization
  • Ensure “flow-through to P&L” via rigorous tracking of operational metrics & financial results
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference for concentration of studies in Finance, Analytics, or Accounting
  • Two to three years of work experience in a data-driven professional setting as a business / finance analyst, ideally in healthcare
  • Demonstrated high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel + experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or PowerBI
    • Strong command of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • A strong intuition for and interest in analytical problem-solving methodologies
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
  • Intellectually curious self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team and prioritize deliverables & meet deadlines with minimal oversight

  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less).
  • Prolonged sitting; with prolonged work in a computer/PC.
  • Occasional work in evenings and on weekends.
  • Infrequent travel (out-of-town and overnight).
  • If working from home, must have appropriate office space that is presentable on video conferences.

Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
