POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable Administrative Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining IDX queries and Informatics reports. The Analyst, under the direction of the AR Manager and the Assistant VP, performs research projects and analyzes accounts receivable data to identify areas for improvement across all business types. The Analyst assumes responsibility for analyzing the financial performance of billing center Accounts Receivable and reporting issues and trends

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops IDX queries and Informatics reports as scheduled or as needed for projects and to provide assistance to the Management team.
  • Analyzes accounts receivable data as directed by AR Manager, Assistant VP or VP. Identifies potential problems including Provider Enrollment issues, claim or transmission problems, internal processing problems, erroneous demographic and insurance information, etc.
  • Works with HCFS Applications to investigate problems identified that may impact accounts receivable.
  • Analyzes billing center operational reports under the direction of the AR Manager of the billing center.
  • Performs investigative routines into carrier issues, and develops and maintains medical billing regulation knowledge for multiple states and carriers.
  • Retrieves and reviews Carrier bulletins or other correspondence or information impacting Billing Center processes.
  • Assists other Billing Center Management staff as needed in research projects related to AR issues.
  • Analyzes accounts receivables including trends, cash results, aging, bad debt and payment success.
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of all Revenue Cycle policies, procedures, and processes.  

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Insure accuracy and timeliness of all reports or other assigned activities and duties.
  • Communicates with the AR Manager, AVP and the VP on projects and assignments.
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to areas of responsibility and back up coverage.
  • Assists AR Manager and AVP in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Supports the AR Manager and AVP in Billing Center projects and report research.
  • Collaborates with leadership to resolve Revenue Cycle issues.
  • Attends internal Revenue Cycle Management meetings.

Job Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 Skills

  • Computer literate.
  • Able to generate and interpret computer reports from IDX, DBMS queries, and Informatics.                            
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.                          
  • Excellent analytical skills.                             
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to analyze systems and procedures to identify billing problems and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of physician billing policies and procedures is a plus.               

Education               

High school diploma or equivalent       

Five years’ experience in report writing and data analytics.       

Experience               

Microsoft Word and Excel proficient.

Microsoft Access and SQL preferred. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Set in a pleasant, high-volume, fast-paced office environment. Ability to meet closing deadlines and production standards is required. Involves extensive computer use and constant sitting.

Overtime may be required.
