Job Description


Within the Contract Revenue Department, this position is responsible for cash receipt and cash application using the Lawson Accounts Receivable (AR) module.


  • Major month-end close deliverables include, but are not limited to: ensuring all cash received is applied to the appropriate customer account in a timely manner, unapplied cash is reviewed regularly and items needing follow-up are addressed timely, and reporting and collection efforts;
  • Assists the Manager (Contract Revenue) in month-end close deliverables for reconciliation, and analysis, including but not limited to account reconciliations for all revenue-related accounts, documentation of all key areas of judgment, and disclosure requirements;
  • Ensures proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards;
  • Prepares routine and ad-hoc reports and reconciliation schedules, including:
  • A/R aging analysis, A/R reserve analysis; customer account reconciliations
  • Provides functional support to the corporate and divisional Accounting department to resolve day-to-day issues, audit support and open items;
  • Collaborates with various business units to ensure accuracy of their A/R aging and works with the Regions on collection efforts and make recommendations as needed;
  • Performs special projects and other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Experience in Lawson software is desirable, specifically Lawson Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing and Revenue Management (BR), Project Accounting (AC) modules
  • Experience in health care accounts receivable management is a plus;
  • Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Ability to design and maintain worksheets and databases and import data from various file formats into Excel or data warehouse;
  • Solid organization and communication skills;
  • Excellent time management skills to complete multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines; and
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently of immediate and direct supervision.

Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
