Qualifications and Experience:- B.S./B.A.
in Accounting/Finance, or related field, Masters preferred; CPA preferred but not - required.
- Five (5) years of related accounting (healthcare) experience preferred.
- Three (3) years managerial experience preferred.
- Three (3) years of advanced accounting computer expertise (including conversion experience).
- Strong managerial skills with the ability to effectively identify problems and alternative solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrate interpersonal, presentation, and organizational abilities.
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and analytical skills to support decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Effective collaboration in team-oriented settings; able to manage stress and resolve conflict constructively.
- Professional customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job Description Overview:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing functional and managerial support to the Accounting and Operations Department.

Working Conditions:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing functional and managerial support to the Accounting and Operations Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of Accounting Department personnel as assigned
- Regular communication and problem resolution with operations and leadership teams
- Responsible for full cycle month end accounting closing, which includes but is not limited to preparing, reviewing and approving standard month end journal entries.
- Analyzes and interprets accounting reports and records and effectively communicates results to enable operations and leadership to reach decisions regarding impact of financial results.
- Preparation of necessary data and information to produce annual corporate budgets as well as maintaining variances to budgets as they occur throughout the year in conjunction with the rest of Finance team, Corporate and Operating Personnel.
- Hire, train and supervise appropriate accounting personnel.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of accounting for client contracting including timely invoicing, scheduled reconciliations, and collection of amounts owed.
- Work directly with operational and clinical leadership as a team to manage client-based operations.
- Develop, implement and monitor accounting policy, procedures and reporting systems to ensure a strong internal control environment and structure.
- The ability to read and interpret contracts for financial soundness.
- Assist with preparation and communication of financial information for internal and external audits as needed.
- Ability to produce Business Proposals which include revenue and staffing analysis for existing and new business.
- Perform special projects and other duties, as assigned

- Regular attendance at work is 40 hours a week, five days a week on weekdays, during regular business hours, and as needed thereafter.
- Availability and ability to appear on video on Zoom and other meetings, which may require virtual or in-person attendance.
- May occasionally require overnight travel.
- Prolonged sitting, including prolonged work in front of a computer, including the use of a keyboard and screen.
- Position requires manual dexterity and frequent use of the computer, telephone, office equipment, and the ability to perform repetitive motions required to meet productivity standards to comply with the essential functions of the job.
- Also, it requires physical and mental stamina to work additional hours beyond the regular schedule as needed.
