JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
Under supervision of the Provider Enrollment Director, the Provider Enrollment Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of the Provider Enrollment Team in support of department and organizational goals. Provider Enrollment is an integral part of a successful Revenue Cycle Operation and the Organization’s ability to meet financial goals, impact patient satisfaction, and client retention.

Under supervision of the Provider Enrollment Director, the Provider Enrollment Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of the Provider Enrollment Team in support of department and organizational goals. Provider Enrollment is an integral part of a successful Revenue Cycle Operation and the Organization’s ability to meet financial goals, impact patient satisfaction, and client retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees enrollment workflow processes inclusive of escalations, deficiencies, and appeals
- Reviews reports for productivity, outcomes and identify when re-assignments are necessary to load balance and/or communicate need for additional resources
- Manages PE AR utilizing company claims management database and reports
- Manages and ensures execution of ad hoc projects
- Identifies and implements process improvements with guidance from Director
- Manages start ups by gathering and disseminating information and managing milestones/deadlines
- Manages personnel, reviews/approves time cards, provides coaching, guidance, and career development
- Coordinates with Lead to oversee Associate training, onboarding, and re-education
- Conducts quality audits for payer application mark-up submissions, group enrollment applications, write-off submissions, and data integrity in Enrollment Database and claims management systems
- Manages and monitors service level agreements to ensure expectations are mutually met with business partners
- Facilitates regular team meetings and one on one meetings with individual staff
- Establishes and monitors short term individual and team goals
- Responsible for workplace safety as applicable, particularly for ensuring that public health protocols are adhered to when on-site at times when such protocols are being enforced by the organization
- Ensuring individual and team member adherence to all TeamHealth policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with providers, payers and internal business partners
- Support continuous improvement and automation of provider enrollment processes by collaborating with various stakeholders to develop new or enhance existing techniques, policies and procedures
- Serve as back up to any/all functional areas within Provider Enrollment
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in business or management related field, preferred
- Three-five years working knowledge of management and provider enrollment process, preferably with multiple states
- High degree of judgement and independent decision-making, analytical evaluation, critical thinking, managerial and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism
- Ability to multi task and prioritize workload in a fast paced, evolving environment
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement related to when to act independently and when to escalate
- Ability to work with a database
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Manages Provider Enrollment Coordinators, Representatives and Specialists
