Job Requirements of Senior Vice President, Locum-Tenens:
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience working with and or managing locum tenens across healthcare settings
- Senior leadership experience overseeing strategic planning, operational performance, and growth of a healthcare or professional services business unit, with direct experience in locum tenens or contingent physician staffing operations
- Proven ability to develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies, driving revenue growth, client expansion and retention, and P&L/EBITDA performance
- Strong track record partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize business lines, manage budgets, scale operations, and deliver high-quality physician services
- Experience leading complex organizations through change, including associate engagement, succession planning, and participation in mergers and acquisitions
- Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports
- Ability to build high functioning team
- Outstanding communication and people skills

Senior Vice President, Locum-Tenens

OVERVIEW:
The Senior Vice President, Locum Tenens is responsible for setting the strategic direction and ensuring organizational alignment while driving growth and operational excellence for D&Y, the locum tenens agency, a subsidiary of TeamHealth. This role provides executive leadership, oversees the daily operations, and partners cross-functionally to expand market presence, optimize performance, and deliver high-quality locum tenens staffing solutions nationwide.
The SVP role requires experience working with a locum tenens agency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements strategic business plan identifying both short-range and long-range goals ensuring that the business needs are met and growth options are considered, resourced and implemented
- Collaborates with the President of Affiliated Clinical Services at TeamHealth while providing relevant information necessary to keep President apprised of operational performance of D&Y
- Partners with operational VPs to develop and implement policies pertinent to the daily operations of the business unit included but not limited to business line optimization, physician relations and retention, client development, budgeting, fiscal oversight, growth, etc.
- Provides proactive leadership to anticipate the current and ongoing managerial and functional needs of D&Y
- Oversees and ensures a healthy focus on associate engagement and retention
- Works closely with other TeamHealth service line leaders to provide quality physician services and influence consumption of D&Y-offered solutions as appropriate
- Partners with President to maintain a quality succession plan, identifying clearly who key successors are and what is needed for career development.
- Participates at an executive leadership level in mergers and acquisitions for the business unit
- Responsible for overall EBITDA goals and budgetary attainment
