Project Manager IT Security

OVERVIEW:
The Project Manager IT Security is responsible for the management of IT projects related to security and infrastructure to include audit and compliance. An essential function of this position is to work across all work teams within the corporate structure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directly manages multiple IT Security projects with focus on Audit and Compliance using best practices for project management as defined by TeamHealth guidelines
  • Assists with IT Security departmental budgeting, financial forecasting and status reporting as required
  • Coordinates with PMO, EIT department VP, and other PMs to ensure alignment and appropriate prioritization of project within portfolios. Leads planning activities as assigned
  • May manage a subset of the IT project portfolio by maintaining project portfolio data during the entire project lifecycle according to TeamHealth policies and procedures
  • Works with resource managers to obtain resource commitments for projects and defines roles and responsibilities of project team members in a strong functional organization
  • Communicates plans, issues and responsibilities clearly and concisely to project team members, functional managers, sponsors and other project stakeholders
  • Monitors the development and configuration of system enhancements while acting as the liaison between IT, functional departments and external partners as required
  • Coordinates meetings, facilitates discussions, and offers recommendations regarding all aspects of projects
  • Offers innovative solutions for process documentation and coordinates implementation of these documentation procedures
  • Contributes ideas and opinions about strategic issues for consideration by senior management. This includes collecting relevant data, analyzing data, and assisting in developing presentations for Vice President to present to senior management
  • Uses group facilitation skills in working with leaders and employees on projects and intervenes in a manner that ensures ownership and commitment is maintained by the impacted systems or group
  • Achieves and maintains a working knowledge of key applications used by TeamHealth and the processes they support. Maintains close relationships with experts in the use of each application and/or process to facilitate efficient decision making regarding each application


Job Requirements:



QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related field is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ recent experience in IT Security and Infrastructure project management
  • Experience working in the Infosec environment
  • Experience with audit and compliance; SOC & SOX
  • Familiarity with budgeting projects and forecasting
  • Experience with a broad range of IT project types from infrastructure to application development is necessary.
    Experience with implementing commercial off-the-shelf applications both on-premise and cloud-based is highly desired
  • Experience with Agile software development and healthcare a plus
  • PMP certification is preferred and experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the ability to bridge communications between technical and non-technical communities required
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing complex project schedules, managing risk registry, and preparing meaningful status reports required
  • Ability to grasp and apply technical and workflow process concepts
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills accompanied by flexibility to quickly adapt to any new business environment
  • Experience in coordinating simultaneous assignments by assessing project deadlines, establishing work priorities, and coordinating personal work schedule
  • Experience in group facilitation, work process analysis, and change management
  • Extensive knowledge and work experience using various software applications (specifically Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, MS Project and Visio
  • Experience in project accounting and budgeting a plus
