- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field required
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in practice, provider or clinical management, including process improvement preferred

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, establish priorities and adapt to rapid change and high-pressure situations
- Communicate professionally and promptly, both verbally and in writing; analyze complex issues and provide accurate, well-reasoned information
- Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage stress and conflict constructively
- Experience with various platforms such as CRMs, databases and Microsoft Office

OVERVIEW
The Director of Operations serves as the liaison between the client hospital and local regional TeamHealth leadership with primary focus as support and as an extension to the client on behalf of the Vice President of Operations (VPO). The Director of Operations will work closely with the VPO to ensure client and TeamHealth expectations are met. This position works with Hospitalist Specialty Services (OB/GYN).
**The Director of Operations is expected to travel 25% monthly for client facing meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and supports assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with facility and TeamHealth requirements, serving as the primary client liaison, and coordinating value-added services to meet evolving client needs
- Collaborate with leaders and staff of the operational service centers to achieve optimal contract performance. These departments include, but are not limited to: Recruiting, Scheduling, Human Resources, Credentialing, Payroll, Risk Management, Documentation Education, Provider Enrollment, PSO, Compliance, Finance, and Legal
- Action planning and follow-up on client surveys, Web-of-Influence surveys, Press Ganey, and TeamHealth engagement survey
- Participates in Business Development activities such as Request for Proposals (RFP) responses, proforma builds, presentations, and the negotiation of terms for renewals.
- Provide oversite of direct reports to include performance reviews
- Oversee full-cycle billing process
- Provides input to Group leadership in prioritizing contracts for Performance Improvement Consultants (PIC) resources and deployment. Coordinate PIC team scheduling and onsite events
- Participates in assigned PIC projects and accepts handoffs for ongoing follow-up
- Research and provide data requests to VPO and SVPs for monthly and quarterly operational reviews
- Utilize internal tools for daily productivity management goals including monitoring productivity metrics within contract and budget parameters
- Contributes to the development of annual budgets and is responsible for ongoing management of contracts to meet budget, including but not limited to the management of premium labor, clinician expenses, and payment collections
- Works to achieve and support client and TeamHealth operating metric goals
- Participate in regional Monthly Operating Reviews as directed by senior management.
- Monitor and manage financial performance by reviewing various financial reports and acting where appropriate to ensure cost-effective operations
- Coordinate hospital client start-ups
- Resolve urgent operational challenges (e.g., staffing, performance, compliance) with minimal disruption to clinical services
- Create and present presentations for client meetings
- Assist with clinician compliance matters, such as but not limited to education, documentation, expirable, I-9s, and repayments
- Partner with clinical leaders and Facility Medical Directors to enhance clinician and client engagement, execute action plans, and participate in FMD meetings
- Manage compensation requests and coordinate market analysis with relevant departments and leaders
- Participate in administrative hiring process by reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and traveling to clinic for onboarding and training duties
- Actively involved and aware of leader and clinician recruiting process
- Represent the organization in internal, vendor, and hospital committees as requested by leader
- Distributes and cascades TeamHealth resources to clinicians
