Job Requirements of Scheduler - Remote:
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate; college attendance is a plus
- One (1) to Three (3) years’ experience in sales or customer service
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in provider scheduling (preferred)
- Experience in medical field a plus
- Demonstrates organizational skills and time management
- Can work independently or in a team environment (both in a remote setting)
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines in a face-paced position
- Good telecommunication skills (Microsoft office – Word, Excel) as well as on the phone, text and email.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all Physicians and Mid-Level Practitioners in the Anesthesiology department. This includes but not limited to: organizing orientations, obtain provider availability and schedule available dates based upon the facility needs. The Scheduler maintains each provider schedule in the company data base as well as logged in a spreadsheet. The scheduler must fill all open shifts/needs and fill in emergent/urgent open shifts as they arise. Schedulers are responsible for responsible after-hour needs for their designated facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates with the Facility/Assistant Facility Medical Directors and Chief CRNA(s) of designated facilities to ensure the preparation of Physician and CRNAs schedules for their respective departments. This may involve calling/texting/emailing physicians and CRNAs to commit to uncovered shifts after the schedule has been prepared. In addition, this includes coordination and preparation of schedules for hospitals where no Medical Director is presiding
- Communicates with all credentialed Physicians and CRNAs at each facility to ensure that all shifts are covered, including coverage for all unforeseen emergencies and schedule deficiencies
- Maintains and updates relevant Physician and CRNA information via spreadsheet, such as telephone numbers and credentialing information
- Communicates effectively and timely with Facility leadership, Internal departments and the providers
- Provide various reports to facility leadership and to management
- Completes all other tasks and assignments as delegated by the Scheduling Manager
