- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for generating and processing multi-state exempt and nonexempt payroll transactions on a biweekly/monthly basis, as well as performing its underlying functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for generating and processing multi-state exempt and nonexempt payroll transactions on a biweekly/monthly basis, as well as performing its underlying functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing for bi-weekly and monthly cycles, ensuring 100% accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process off-cycle payrolls and adjustments as required.
- Calculate and process final pay in strict adherence to state-specific regulations and deadlines, mitigating compliance risk while maintaining audit-ready documentation for all processes.
- Manage and validate time data uploads, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and alignment with payroll processing timelines.
- Assist employees and managers with questions on timesheets and payroll matters, while providing prompt and excellent customer service.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including direct deposits, tax elections, and garnishments, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Keeps abreast of changes, developments regarding payroll administration, taxes and the governing of state and federal rules and laws.
- Function as liaison between regional teams and payroll department.
- UKG Pro/WFM Timekeeping user support.
- Interact with Finance regarding payroll related general ledger issues.
- Report generation for management as needed.
- Mentor and support payroll specialists, promoting best practices, continuous improvement, and team development.
- Completes special projects and any other tasks, as assigned by the payroll supervisor or senior management.
