Job Requirements of Payroll Specialist- Remote - 5190:
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree preferred or 5+ years equivalent work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll related roles.
- FPC or CPP preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles required.
- Experience with payroll software preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookups and advanced formulas)
- Good decision-making and judgement skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to work under pressure meeting critical deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Complete Remote Setting
- Demonstrates and maintains regular attendance per work schedule based on varied deadlines.
- Prolonged sitting
- Prolonged work on a computer/PC
- Moderate stress
- Moderate telephone use
Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.

Payroll Specialist- Remote - 5190

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The Provider Compensation Specialist is responsible for generating and processing payroll and performing related underlying functions for companies as assigned. The position is responsible for receiving and reviewing system generated reports, gathering and preparing incoming pay data, reviewing and analyzing data and compiling final documentation required to be saved for audit and backup.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares, processes and generates payroll.
- Reviewing payroll reports for accuracy.
- Interpreting contract language.
- Validate complex calculations.
- Compiling backup for audit and SOX compliance.
- Meeting all outlined deadlines.
- Participates as an active team member by actively supporting other compensation specialists in reviewing payroll and processing monthly and biweekly payrolls.
- Completes special projects and other assignments as assigned by the Payroll Leadership.
