Inside Sales Consultant (Business Development)

Overview

The Inside Sales Consultant (Business Development specialist) will lead business strategy and sales efforts for our Primary Care Medicine post-acute care service line. This position’s primary responsibility is to generate sales leads and increase awareness of TeamHealth’s Primary Care Medicine post-acute care services.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive the entire sales process, including prospecting, management of self-generated and company provided leads, proposal development, and delivery of customized presentations
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans within a designated geographic territory, to achieve company growth objectives
  • Build and maintain consultative relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term business partnerships
  • Stay up to date on industry and market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify innovative business opportunities
  • Continuously assess and report on sales cycle activity, pipeline development and sales goal tracking through the use of the CRM tool and ongoing communication to senior management
    • Maintain accurate information in TeamHealth’s CRM database as it pertains to decision-makers, current contract holders, volume, systems and other facility changes
  • Provide weekly activity report and other reports as requested
  • Attend state/regional related trade shows as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, or as needed by the VP/BD or members of management team

Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Telemarketing, sales, marketing and/or healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong telephone skills that can create the foundation for future relationships at all levels within the hospital organization
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare market
  • Ability to think and act independently when a situation arises as well as ability to take on more responsibility
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contact management software
  • Professional in demeanor and appearance
  • Must be a focused, self-reliant individual and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be a strategic thinker and have the ability to execute strategy
  • Periodic business trips for new client opportunities
