Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools, specifically Articulate 360 Storyline and Rise, and multimedia tools like Camtasia.
- Strong understanding of visual design principles and their application in instructional materials.
- Emotional intelligence skills to interpret and adjust behaviors effectively.
- Self-directed with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Strong project management skills to coordinate complex learning projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in instructional design, technology, or related fields.
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design or similar preferred.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in instructional design for virtual instructor-led training, e-learning, classroom-based, and blended learning in corporate settings.
- Expertise in adult learning theories and their application in instructional design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of systematic instructional design processes (e.g., ADDIE) and learner engagement strategies.
- Familiarity with current and emerging instructional design technologies and trends in talent development.
- Demonstrated ability to define performance objectives and develop targeted learning solutions.
- Proven track record of working independently and collaboratively to achieve business objectives.

We are currently hiring a REMOTE Instructional Designer!
Position Summary
The Instructional Designer (ID) serves as an instructional design expert managing the systematic design process from analysis of need through solution evaluation. As needed, the ID collaborates with the Learning Consultant and other stakeholders to create learning assets across multiple modalities to support business needs. The learning assets may support a variety of subjects/priorities, including but not limited to new employee onboarding, leadership and professional development, compliance, job/department-specific requirements, product and services, and software systems. This role will incorporate sound principles of instructional design, eLearning development, adult learning theory and strategies for interaction, principles of project management, as well as organization standards into every intervention, ensuring successful acquisition, retention, and transfer of knowledge, skills, and abilities. The ID will manage multiple learning projects concurrently in support of enterprise-wide needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilizes evidence-based principles associated with theories of how adults learn as a basis to execute systematic design processes (e.g., ADDIE or another industry-accepted model) to analyze, design, develop, and deliver targeted and sustainable learning solutions.
- Collaborates with Learning Consultants to analyze information about the need, identify desired skills/performance standards and current gaps, target population, success measures for the role, and other requirements as defined by the intake process.
- Works collaboratively with corporate, regional, and other stakeholders in HR to achieve project goals.
- Recommends, designs, and develops targeted learning assets across modalities including, but not limited to, eLearning, virtual instructor-led, classroom-based, train-the-trainer, blended learning solutions, and microlearning
- Create scripts, video, audio, and other assets that align with project and business needs.
- Manage implementation of WalkMe's performance support platform using a consistent and predictable strategy on projects as assigned by the leader.
- Measure results of implementing WalkMe by using WalkMe Insights and iterating to improve and drive toward optimal outcomes
- Effectively manages multiple projects to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
- Mentors other team members on instructional design and eLearning processes and tools
- Sustains continuous learning and growth mindset and models these behaviors by taking ownership of professional development and partnering with the Manager to identify goals for growth
- Maintains knowledge of emerging trends and research in the talent development and learning space, as well as digital adoption strategies
- Completes administrative tasks (e.g., updating project plans and status reports, maintaining learning solutions, pulling reports).
