Job Requirements of Corporate Staff Accountant:
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting
- CPA desired but not required
- 1+ years of experience in accounting
- Experience with month-end procedures
- Must be able to demonstrate understanding of balance sheet and P&L account relationships
- Excellent computer skills with specific proficiency in spreadsheet application and database management applications
- Lawson GL experience a plus
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent judgment and decision making skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Must be able to demonstrate high level of ethical competence
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for essential functions in the financial statement month-end close process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries related to revenue and expenses for specific business units
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations integral to financial statement preparation/close
- Review of certain income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Participation in special projects and other tasks as assigned by management
- Serve as Liaison / Advisor between National Service Center and Regional Accounting Teams
