Job Description

Essential Functions

This position is charged with the development, execution, oversight and management of TeamHealth initiatives and programs relating to productivity and overall performance of the Ambulatory Care Service line. This position is part of a shared leadership model coupling business leaders to effectively expand the Ambulatory Care book of business supporting the overall mission and vision of TeamHealth.

  • Provides leadership, ongoing training, mentoring and skills development to assigned team.
  • Ensure effective day to day clinic operations across multiple locations and multiple states.
  • Focus on improvements related to patient satisfaction and engagement with all clinics - assess survey metrics and implement recommendations in alignment with Key Performance Indicators.
  • Monitor efficient utilization of resources including but not limited to supplies and staffing and hours of operation.
  • Advocate on behalf of the teams and ensure staff development; active engagement and a tiered succession plan for each location with a focus on leadership.
  • Proactively identify solutions related to space allocations; cross training and efficient clinician staffing ratios based on volume trends.
  • Enhance local marketing and outreach initiatives with community providers to facilitate an extension of their services, where appropriate.
  • Continuously assess innovative ways to improve clinical operations and financial performance of each clinic with a constant focus on patient experience.
  • Assess opportunities for growth and development of new centers and enhancements for business and profit expansion.
  • Develop annual budget in partnership with finance to reflect current state and future state goals. Ensure adherence to budget with a focus on over achievement of goals.
  • Meets monthly with his/her direct reports, reviews goals and goal achievements. Provides recognition and coaching as appropriate.
  • Attends meetings as appropriate with client facing teams.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years preferably with healthcare experience.
  • Multi-site; multi-state operations experience preferably within healthcare.
  • Engaging leader presence with a focus on influencing and motivating team members for success.
  • Solid financial acumen related to managing owned clinics and supporting Joint Venture arrangements.
  • Ability to create and deliver updates related to monthly and quarterly performance in financial and operational terms.
  • Strong skills in staff development and creating high functioning work teams.
  • Collaborate with the American Urgent Care Association for best practices and consistency.
  • Oversee annual accreditation efforts through URAC.
  • Align with the organizational objectives related to growth in Ambulatory Care.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to execute and deliver upon all stated goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving/decision-making and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency working with spreadsheets and pro-forma development
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict
