This position does have remote capabilities, but will require some in office work intermittently.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for essential functions in the financial statement month-end close process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations integral to financial statement preparation/close
  • Review of certain income statement accounts
  • Completion of special projects and other tasks as assigned by management

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA desired but not required
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting
  • Excellent computer skills with specific proficiency in spreadsheet application and database management applications, Lawson experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent judgment and decision making skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less)

  • Prolonged working hours (during month-end close)

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
