JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is primarily responsible for reporting and analyzing monthly results for various regions. Assist management in preparing budgets/forecasts and results presentations.  Perform monthly accounting close duties, including journal entries and accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.  This position reports to the Manager of Accounting and interacts with key Operational leaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General ledger journal entries (accruals, reclasses, etc.)
  • Review income statement and research material budget variances.
  • Regional financial statement preparation.
  • Monthly and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Reconcile and provide medical directorship payment information monthly.
  • Assist with the budget/forecast process.
  • Assist with Pro Formas.
  • Review and document policies and procedures.
  • Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Accounting.
  • Excellent Excel skills with specific proficiency in Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.
  • Hyperion Skills REQUIRED
  • Lawson, Kronos experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision making skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Prolonged work at a computer/PC
  • Prolonged working hours (during month-end close and budget season)

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
