Job Description


This position works with the Operations Support team to define and execute analytics, data management, and business insights. The Senior Associate Data Analyst will be working with a fast-paced, data-forward team charged with successful management of analytics for TeamHealth’s operational groups. The Senior Associate Data Analyst will create operational insights, support operational communication efforts, and feed performance improvement strategy.


  • Efficiently manipulate, analyze, extract and summarize large volumes of multifaceted data using various data analysis and reporting tools
  • Write complex queries
  • Design and build business KPI dashboards and data visualizations
  • Possess a working knowledge of data management in operational systems, data flow between operational systems and the foundational reports housed in those systems
  • Remain current on ongoing projects specifically those that impact data management and data flow
  • Serve as the owner of Ops Support generated reports for the business, e.g. Activity Driver reports, including, in collaboration with IT, all maintenance of and enhancements to those reports
  • Support business and contract reorganizations by supplying reports and assistance with analysis and data script requests
  • Serve as the primary point of contact in Ops Support to field and respond to data and report requests, including collaborating with subject matters experts and process owners to collect and document detailed requirements for report requests for submission to IT
  • Supply up to 25% of time as a resource for the Systems Support team performing related duties as assigned by the National Director or Systems Support Manager
  • Serve as a backup for the Systems Support team during absences and overflow situations
  • Develops, supports and delivers analytics to Clinician Services teams and its business partners
  • Investigate data integrity issues and provide root cause analysis as well as options for solving the problem
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure data consistency throughout TeamHealth
  • Expected to be an active participant in all assigned tasks/projects
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams and accountability for delivery
  • Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree required in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Services, or from a four-year university with equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience with relational databases (SQL) and R
  • Proficiency with analytic methods
  • Experience with Tableau and other open source reporting tools
  • Experience with Data Warehouse, Mathematical computations, Statistics, and database development
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Intellectually curious self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team and prioritize deliverables & meet deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong command of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills (oral and written) required
