Job Overview

Works with management and team through a complete software development cycle including: Requirements, Technical Discovery, System Architecture, Development of Technical Specifications, Database Design, Programming, Testing and Release. The position includes development of custom software applications and software routines to meet specific call center and client requirements. The associated applications include the Nurse Triage System (IntefleCS), Decision Lifecycle Management (DLM / workflow tool), NurseLink, ROTA, TeamDoc Mobile, and interfaces.

Some areas of focus are setting up new clients using DLM and custom development. Responsibilities include leading midsize projects, telephony support, managing system maintenance, report and interface development.

Essential Functions

  • Development includes automating nurse triage and transitional care management calls within IntefleCS, DLM, NurseLink, ROTA, and TeamDoc Mobile using the software development tools mentioned in the Job Qualifications section below.
  • Develop and enhance existing applications to improve performance and meet client needs.
  • Design and implement interfaces, custom feeds, and other interfaces using Mirth (HL7, FHIR, API, web services) and SQL scripts.
  • Maintains and supports the IntefleCS SQL server / Datamart, Connexica, midtier, fax, IM, web and terminal servers along with client PCs.
  • Significantly reduce Nurse and Patient Coordinator time by identifying and implementing software changes.
  • Determine enterprise needs and requirements and develop functional specifications for automated workflow, including data models, screen and report layouts and form designs.
  • Provide 24/7/365 application, infrastructure and end user support.
  • Heads up telephony (Genesys / I3 phone system) support and testing.
  • Executes test plans and documents system enhancements.
  • Leads midsize projects.
  • Manages one time and recurring system maintenance and product upgrades.
  • Develops reports in Connexica CXAIR.
  • Sets up users in tools like CRM, IntefleCS and Connexica CXAIR.
  • Excellent client relation, follow-up, follow-through and documentation skills.
  • Responsibilities include the ability to work with Client Services during new client startups, setup DLM and IntefleCS, integration to and from clients and interacting with clients and other IT groups required to complete the implementation or project.


Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems or an applied science or equivalent experience.
  • Five plus years in overall application development / support experience.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting software using Microsoft C# .NET, SQL Server; Web Development C#, Java, MVC API, MVC Web App, script experience, and XSLT; Interface Development using Mirth (HL7,
  • Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
  • Must have great client relations skills and the ability to work directly and daily with internal and external clients.
  • Must be detailed oriented with project management experience.
  • Telephone and CTI experience is required.
  • Experience with FHIR, API, Web Service) is wanted.
  • Report writing experience is needed.
  • Android and iPhone development is preferred.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills is a must.
  • Knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance as it relates to technology.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Duties are performed at home or in a modern office setting.  Will require some work in the evenings and on weekends. Prolonged sitting, with prolonged work on a PC. Carries a cell phone for urgent and support needs. May require light travel for meetings. This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. May require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
