JOB OVERVIEW

This position reports directly to the Senior Business Analyst of Revenue Cycle Support. Their primary role will be to support efficient billing operations and processes via daily monitoring of eligibility workflows, outsourced vendor processes, and assisting with new process designs and implementations. The Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and triaging support tasks directed to Revenue Cycle Support Department. The Analyst will also be responsible for compiling and analyzing data, creating and distributing reports and presentations, identifying trends that potentially impact the revenue cycle stream and report to management in clear and concise format.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in design, implementation, and evaluation of process improvement activities and efforts, eligibility, payments, insurance find process, AR workflow, reporting, and statistical review.
  • Works with Revenue Cycle Support department to track and triage Billing Operations issues and requests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to reported issues submitted related to outsourced vendor operations and other AR processes such as eligibility operations and ERA.
  • Provides analysis of billing operations processes to include eligibility, outsourced vendor processes, reporting, statistics, policies, billing, and collections.
  • Performs analysis as directed to ensure best processes and promote efficiencies resulting in performance improvement and management.
  • Interacts with appropriate BC’s/departments for process discovery and evaluation of current operations.
  • Reviews operational reports and identifies disparities, issues, efficiencies, and additional reporting needs.
  • Works with Billing Centers, HCFS Applications, HCFS Programming, in development of reporting needs and analytical tools.
  • Develop reporting mechanisms to monitor processes and identify issues
  • Compile data from various sources; clean and format data into meaningful reports; update reports as needed
  • Prepare summary findings and report interpretations
  • Display and communicates data in a clear and concise format
  • Communicate proactively to analyze information needs
  • Performs other related duties and works on special projects as requested

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The job qualifications for this position are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Operations, or related field, preferred;
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in healthcare operational reporting/data analysis, management,
  • Multi-site and multi-state experience with preferred;
  • SQL/Informatics/GECB systems knowledge preferred
  • Revenue Cycle experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office – advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with deadlines and effectively prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively both orally and written; particularly the ability to explain complex data analyses in easy to understand terms
  • Resourcefulness, ingenuity, and problem-solving skills
